A few days ago, I decided to wake up early which is a great achievement for me considering the fact that my usual wake-up time these days is 10 or 11am. Haha!
So, anyway, I woke up early and went out to buy breakfast (I live in a dorm so sadly, cooking my own meal isn't possible; I have to buy it myself). As I went out of the door, I saw a "magtataho" or taho vendor outside. I was a bit excited since I haven't had taho for like so many years now, and I was suddenly craving for it.
Taho, for those who don't know, is a popular breakfast/snack food in the Philippines. However, it seems that this snack is also popular in other neighboring Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia and Malaysia; the only difference is it is called TAHU. Taho made from fresh, silken tofu, brown sugar and vanilla syrup mix called Arnibal, and Sago.
I immediately bought 2 cups of it for 10 pesos each; both for me and my boyfriend. Instead of buying breakfast, I bought taho, haha! But it was definitely worth it because it made my hunger go away.
here's a few pics of me getting ready to devour my taho:
see that? Looks yummy, right? You can't see the sago or pearl sago coz i already ate them all :3 |
